Description
Project consists of the removal and replacement of the existing elevated second-story rear deck at the residence. The existing upper deck, including framing, decking, beams, support posts, footings, and guardrails, will be demolished and replaced with a new pressure-treated wood deck supported by new concrete piers. A new composite deck surface and prefabricated aluminum guardrail system will be installed. The existing first-floor patio and stair structure shall remain unchanged, with only the existing first-floor guardrail being replaced to match the new upper deck railing. The existing roof/awning over the deck shall remain. All work shall be performed in accordance with the approved construction drawings and the 2021 International Residential Code (IRC).
